5/8/2023 0 Comments Final cut pro reviews![]() ![]() With its one-time price, its stellar performance, easy-but-powerful interface, and assortment of workflow innovations, Final Cut is an excellent option for solo video creators, from YouTubers to event videographers to independent filmmakers. This limitation might cause high-end pros working in teams to shy away, but it likely won’t stop the new target audience of Final Cut Pro X from buying the software. It’s worth noting if you’re working with a team that Final Cut Pro X lags behind offerings from Adobe in collaboration features, though it has just enough to be usable. You can also share 360 videos directly to Facebook and YouTube, which many other editors can’t do. Apple has done an excellent job with professional-looking titles that appear naturally inside the space of your 360 and 3D videos. You can live-preview 360 video on an attached HTC Vive headset (the only headset supported at this time). The 360 video editing tools are quite powerful. The list of supported formats is strong, but supporting some other formats will require sending the video to another Apple program called Compressor, which sells for $49.99 in the Mac App Store. The application has a tagging ability for fast and easy pull-up of clip portions and entire clips. The application’s importing tool puts a lot of functionality just a click away. Final Cut Pro offers users the ability to carefully organize their assets such as video and audio. Additionally, the latest version of Final Cut now color-codes those assets in your timeline, making it easy to see the elements of your story at a glance. Keeping your work organized and efficient is made easier with a feature called “roles.” Each video or audio asset can be assigned to a role-say, “dialogue,” or “titles”-and you can apply changes to those assets as a set. Final Cut Pro X takes a different approach with what it calls a single track, “magnetic timeline,” but it’s just as functional in most cases. Experienced video editors will be surprised that the timeline is not presented in the way they’re accustomed to, though it shares some core ideas. Samuel Axon/IDGĪpple’s magnetic timeline is different from what you might have used before, but it might grow on you.įinal Cut Pro X is not afraid to sacrifice some sacred ideas about video editing workflow. It offers a lot to independent creators of all types. Apple also added keyboard shortcuts that make the tools easy to use.įinal Cut Pro X may never be a mainstay in Hollywood again, but it doesn’t necessarily need to be. These include additional uses of the eyedropper tool, a dedicated color tab, and powerful color curves and hue/saturation curves that allow you to make very precise adjustments. With version 10.4, Apple has greatly expanded the professional color tools available in the application. ![]()

5/8/2023 0 Comments Julian from the forbidden game![]() ![]() He says that he'll make it up to you, and takes you to another place, supposedly a tea house. He pays for the fallen apples and gives them to the crowd. The apples from the cart hit you both, and Julian blocks the collapsing cart from hitting you. You are about to hit something until Julian breaks your fall. ![]() Afterwards, when you two are walking among the crowd, a dog passes you and Julian, tripping you in the process. But Julian appears and says that you two need to talk while he takes you to the market and other places to complete the shopping list that Mazelinka left for the two of you.Īs Julian starts to broach the subject that he wants to talk about, the Leech Collector interrupts. You wake up once more and both Mazelinka and Julian appear to be gone. He tells you about the time he kidnapped a pregnant war elephant, changing the subject quickly, and you drift off to sleep. Afterwards, he asks if you believe in forgiveness. You help Julian out from the sheets he had brought down with him. When Julian looks at you, he seems embarrassed. You hear a loud thud and rush to Julian's aid. As you sit down, you can hear that Julian is having a nightmare. You have just woken up in Mazelinka's house. Whether or not you spent time with Julian, Mazelinka will ask you if you would like to spend the night with him or in the cubby below, and you head to bed for the night. If you choose to keep an eye on Julian, the two of you can choose to have a rather intimate encounter which is interrupted by Mazelinka. When Mazelinka returns, Julian heads to bed, and you have the option of either watching Mazelinka's brew or helping Julian go to bed. He admits that he does not remember whether or not he committed the deed and that he returned to the city to find the truth. While she is out collecting ingredients, you have the opportunity to speak with Julian about the murder. Mazelinka appears to be a magic user, or at least a practiced herbalist, and she helps Julian recover from his wound. You and Julian climb through the window of a small home that is owned by one of Julian's old friends, Mazelinka. No matter what you choose, you will end up at the home of Mazelinka, laying low for the night. If you choose to enter the garden, you come across a ruined and abandoned courtyard, filled with a beautiful (but poisonous) flower called deadly starstrand. You may choose to enter a forbidden garden or continue running. You're interrupted by the guards once more and must flee. He explains that it is a "curse" from Asra, but he assures you that the wound will heal on its own. Though by doing so, he takes on the wound himself. Though Julian manages to save you, your bite is draining your life away by the second. In your haste to flee, you fall into the aqueduct and are bitten by a vampire eel. Suddenly, a raven lands on your shoulder, warning you of approaching guards. He remarks, "Who needs a plague doctor if there's no plague?" and throws his mask into the aqueduct. ![]() In fact, he is almost morose because of the plague's end. You speak with Julian beside the aqueduct, and he assures you that the water is no longer poisonous. A moment later, you see Julian, who has just emerged from a nearby tavern. You continue to follow it, realizing that the poisoned water is running into the city's water supply. You follow the stream until it turns into an aqueduct that flows directly into the city. A red stream is spilling from a neglected wing of the palace, causing rot and decay in the earth around it. After speaking with her, you wander through the grounds until you come across a strange sight. Portia chats with you about Nadia and Julian at her cottage while she works in her garden. ![]() Portia sets her cat Pepi on the bird, effectively chasing it away. You observe an argument between Portia and a cockatoo, who once belonged to Count Lucio because it will not allow her to enter her work shed. After you spend hours in the library at Julian's desk, you hear a commotion outside of the window, so you leave to find what's happening. You have the day to yourself on account of the Countess's headaches. ![]() 5/8/2023 0 Comments G i joe file cards for sale![]() ![]() Hasbro factory card colors often vary in color but you go with what you like. DICE also said that legacy features such as the classic scoreboard will be present at launch for any future Battlefield. One of those lessons was to move away from “specialist” hero characters and back towards class-based gameplay from previous Battlefields. Some imagination and looking at historical photos (which is difficult because you cannot see grass or foliage that easily in black and white photos) was needed to derive a good concept of how we should represent the landscape." The curator at the museum explained that before the war this landscape was completely bare rocks, because sheep ate all of the vegetation. ![]() A particular challenge is that in the present day the entire region is covered by forests, which was not the case back then. The distinctive sharp rocks of the area, which you can see in the WIP screenshot above, were essential to get right. It was an excellent museum with some fascinating virtual and augmented reality tech to immerse visitors into trench life. "Part of our process in representing the Carso landscape and doing justice to the heavy fighting in the area was a visit to the Museo Del Monte San Michele, which stands right on the summit of the mountain. The first Isonzo Intel drop also came with this video of developer Jos on site in Italy: The attackers win by defeating every defensive line - the defenders win by holding out long enough." The battle progresses through multiple defensive lines: once the attackers complete all their current objectives, the defenders must fall back to the next line, which will have its own set of objectives.įor instance, the attackers might need to capture and hold three points to complete the first defensive line of a map, and then the second line might require them to sabotage a gun position and capture two points to progress to the next defensive line. It’s fairly simple: all Entente and Central Powers casualties in the Frontlines and Maneuver game modes in Verdun and Tannenberg will be tallied up, and the ‘victors’ will be the ones with least losses. The Second Battle of Artois had the goal of capturing Vimy Ridge, and while the French would take the heights, they would not be able to hold them. The Germans intended the Gorlice-Tarnów offensive to be a relatively minor operation to take some pressure off their Austro-Hungarian allies, but it would turn into a major assault that collapsed Russian lines. The last thing you want is to kill someone and pop out in a vent where people are! Always, always, alwaysmake sure no one is around you when exiting a vent. I strongly recommend either memorizing or having this map present when you are playing. Below is a map of The Skeld with the vent locations marked in red and which vents are connected in green. All of the vents aren’t connected, so knowing where they go will be important if you want to escape suspicion after a clean kill. This includes when imposters use vents to jump between locations, making it a handy sleuthing tool for the savvy player.Īdditionally, there are fourteen vents that the imposters can use. One of the most important rooms on the map is the Admin room, as this contains a map players can interact with to see where everyone is. Every corridor features doorways that the imposters can lock, making it impossible for crewmate to pass through until an invisible timer expires. From here they can branch out to any of the thirteen additional rooms to complete their tasks. At the beginning of the game and after each discussion, players will start in the cafeteria. Here’s a breakdown of The Skeld’s map, which is most likely the first level you’ve experienced in Among Us.Ībove is the general layout of The Skeld’s map. Each one comes with their own mini-games and challenges that you’ll need to understand as both the crewmate or imposter. One of the keys to surviving Among Us is a core understanding of the three different maps. This crafts tense scenarios, where people attempt to deflect, accuse, and save themselves from being ejected into space. Among Us encourages people to only talk during specific “Discussion” moments to level the playing field for the imposters. This multiplayer games tasks players with repairing a futuristic base as 1-2 fake crewmates attempt to systematically murder the opposing users. ![]() ![]() Sludge Bomb is also good, but it’s just not giving the sort of coverage you want, so it’s entirely skippable. With Tinted Lens, Venomoth only needs one attack- Bug Buzz. Once you get one off, it’s an actual competitive Pokemon, and if you can jump in front of a Grass or Fighting attack, or just in front of a tank, you can start setting up. With its best stats being Special Attack and Speed, the reason to run Venomoth is Quiver Dance. Shield Dust is a fine ability, but Venomoth’s better off with the others. Overall, Tinted Lens is probably the best of the three, and it’s what makes Venomoth work as an attacker, but there’s plenty of argument to be made for Wonder Skin. ![]() Note that this doesn’t stop immunities, so Venomoth still can’t poison Steel types. This means that despite Bug and Poison’s coverage being meh at best, Venomoth doesn’t actually need to learn a variety of attacks to threaten foes. Resisted attacks do normal damage, doubly-resisted attacks still do half damage. Tinted Lens is simple: You do not resist Venomoth’s attacks. Venomoth’s other ability option is Tinted Lens. It’s not full immunity, sure, but any miss from an ability is a wasted turn on the opponent’s part, and that can seriously alter the tide of battle. Now, this doesn’t stop things with no accuracy check like Follow Me, but it gives a 50% chance to dodge Taunt, Spore, Glare, Thunder Wave, etc. Wonder Skin drops the accuracy of all Status moves used on Venomoth to 50%. It’s a useful ability, and immunity to Flinching is great, but it’s more for tankier pokemon that can survive the hit and are worried about the secondary effects. Shield Dust prevents additional effects from attacks, such as Fake Out’s Flinch and any chances to Burn or Freeze on attacks. Fortunately… Venomoth’s options are all good. ![]() Obviously you won’t be playing many tournaments where it’s to your advantage to use the little guy, but there are leagues for babies and unevolved pokemon and such, and Venonat’s Compound Eyes, which grant +30% accuracy, is a real boon on a Pokemon that can learn Sleep Powder. This is where Venomoth shines, but first I need to give a special shout-out to the little guy, Venonat. ![]() Not ‘good,’ mind, but ‘above average.’ Venomoth is still regularly outclassed in stats. Fortunately, its best stats are Speed and Special, both at 90, which are above average. Interestingly, it’s not weak to Poison, Ghost, or Steel, so it’s not like the pokemon that wall it are its big threats, which is nice.Īt 450 total, Venomoth falls a bit south of average, mostly on the defensive side. STAB-wise, the Grass redundancy is pretty bad when so much resists Poison anyway, so Venomoth gets STAB against Dark, Grass, Psychic, and Fairy, but is double-resisted by Poison, Ghost, and Steel. It has more resistances than weaknesses, and double resisting FIghting and Grass gives Venomoth the occassional free switch-in. Frankly, it bugs me how many Pokemon in the game are clearly depicted as flying or levitating but don’t have that feature.Īnyway, Bug Poison’s fine on the defense. No matter how well I know it, I will never get over the fact that Venomoth, like Beedrill, can’t fly. It evolves at level 31 to its final form, a bit late compared to other two-stage pokemon, but not unreasonably or painfully so. Venonat to Venomoth is a two-stage evolution unchanged since the earliest days of Pokemon. Really, it just comes down to a lot of the initial designs in gen 1 being samey in some ways because they’re working off very small sprites. A lot of 3-stage evolutions were cut down to two.) (The first Pokemon designed WITH its Evolutions were Trifox, Vulpix, and Ninetails as well as Pikachu, Raichu, and Gorochu. And Venonat was created as a stand-alone long before, possibly before it was even decided that Pokemon would evolve. We know from the internal index and beta versions of the games that Caterpie, Metapod, and Butterfree were created in unison. Now, you’ll hear a lot of people saying that Venonat was supposed to evolve into Butterfree and Venomoth was supposed to come from Metapod and show you visual cues that seem to support this theory… But let me tell you- this theory is wrong. It reads uniquely and it gets the job done. I can’t say it’s a striking design, but I also can’t complain about it. Venomoth’s design gets through the idea of a fantastic moth, with a weirdly-shaped head and a deep, toxic-purple color. Now, granted, it’s more Mite than Gnat, but the fact remains that you can tell it’s a small bug. Venonat is a cute little ball of fluff with huge eyes and just enough features to read as some sort of bug thing. Now there’s like a thousand if you count all the Megas and Regional Variants, so some of them just mentally slip away. This isn’t to say I don’t like it, just that even back in Red and Blue there was 151 and that’s a lot to remember. Venomoth’s one of those pokemon I sometimes forget exists. ![]() |
